How do I get the paid version of PennyWire?
We sell a basic PennyWire Implementation Package in a block of five prepaid hours.
It includes all the most common steps it takes to set up SES with FileMaker.
All you have to do to engage our services is punch in your details and click reserve.
If you're wondering how far five hours should get you, here's what we typically get done during a typical PennyWire Implementation Package:
We perform your AWS configuration
- Don't have an AWS account? No problem — we'll help you set one up
- We get you out of SES sandbox mode and into production
- We set up your SES identity
- We secure your solution with an IAM service account
We adjust your DNS together
- This is what allows you to send email from "whoever@yourdomain.com"
- It's also a requirement if you want your email to actually get delivered
- Requires that you remember your DNS provider credentials (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.)
- Usually takes about ten minutes
We deliver a custom PennyWire.fmp12 file
- Wires right into your FileMaker solution as an external FileMaker data source
- This is where you store your IAM service account credentials
- Includes all the fundamental scripts, layouts, and tables needed to send email
- Logs each attempt to send
We provide any other required knowledge
- With any time left over, we can walk you through just about anything related to email
The above items aren't the only requirements our customers have, but they're the ones almost all our clients ask for.
If that's all you can afford, that's okay too — it's all you really need to get beautiful HTML email sending directly from FileMaker.

- Sent: be 100% sure your email wasn't just enqueued to send — it was actually sent
- Delivered: your email was handled by the destination's server

- LLMs can write some HTML, but it still takes skill and experience to get really good design
- Maintaining your brand's image is important
They want PennyWire embedded directly into a custom FileMaker solution
- This usually isn't necessary — PennyWire works great as an external FileMaker data source
- However, many clients still have needs that can only be met by directly inserting new code into their existing solutions
They want something else we can do beyond email
